IS HOSTING (FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME)
THE PORTLAND "GREAT AUSSIE PIE CHALLENGE"
TO BE HELD DURING THE
AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATIONS IN PORTLAND'S
CRYSTAL THEATRE ON 26 JANUARY 2008
All adventurous cooks
are encouraged to enter a pie in either of
the two categories -
the traditional Aussie meat pie or
the traditional fruit pie
(apple, peach, blueberry, strawberry, blackberry,
pear or whatever . . .).
There will be a separate section for home-cooks
and another for professional chefs with cash
prizes, ribbons and certificates awarded
to winners and runners-up.
Challenge the world with your favourite
pie recipe
(we expect entries from all over the region).
